Frequently Asked Questions
|
1. What is MoBull and how is it different from MoBull Plus?
The USF MoBull Messenger
Wireless Notification Service offers a unique way for
USF and local merchants to communicate with USF
community members (students, faculty, staff, alumni, and
friends of USF).
Now rebranded, MoBull Plus, this program now offers additional mobile phone-based features. In addition to robust real-time campus notification solutions, students can access their university email, Blackboard, and even share their location with friends – all through the mobile phone. The new Mobull Plus is provided by Rave Wireless. 2. Will this cost me anything?
No, the service is free on the website.
TXT messages received will count against your TXT message plan.
You can opt to receive MoBull Plus through the browser
on compatible mobile phones.
3. How do I sign-up?
If you are part of the USF community (student, faculty, staff, etc.),
simply click the registration button on the home page and fill out the form, with your USF school email address.
4. How do I control what shows up on my phone?
Subscribers are then given an opportunity to choose the
kinds of messages they wish to receive on their mobile
device through a checkbox listing of "channels" and/or
individual messengers for which they can subscribe to
notification service. Subscribers can adjust their
preferences from the website or mobile phone.
5. What do you do with my information?
Customers enter a web site through a secure login and
provide personal data including age range, gender, and
zip code. These data are used only to set a profile of
all MoBull subscribers and are not used for targeting
specific individuals. New subscribers also provide
details on their specific wireless device through a
series of screens that require no special technical
knowledge to complete.
