Colorado Institutions Switch from 3n to Rave Wireless

10.06.2008

Aurora Higher Education Center: The University of Denver and the Auraria Higher Education Center have partnered with Rave Wireless to provide a new and improved emergency alert text and voice-message system capable of delivering messages directly to you should conditions develop on or near our locations that pose a threat of imminent danger.  We believe our new vendor--Rave Wireless-- is able to better address our service needs.

Our goal is to ensure uninterrupted emergency notification capabilities to our existing users. If you provided your mobile phone number previously in the 3n emergency notification system, that number has been transferred to your Rave Alert account for text messaging and voice notifications.  If you have not provided your mobile phone number we will not be able to contact you until you visit the Rave Alert site and provide your contact details.

Cellular phone providers may charge a per-text message fee for the delivery of emergency notifications to your cell phone. Therefore, we encourage you to log into your Rave account using the username and password (provided through individual e-mail addresses) to confirm your contact information and choose your notification preferences. The Rave Alert system can be accessed by all AHEC and UCD students, faculty and staff, by clicking on the Emergency Notification System link on your institution's homepage or by visiting: https://www.getrave.com/login/DenverAlerts. Please visit the site to update your password and confirm your contact information.
