Rave Wireless: Rave launches marketing program for schools

Apr 24, 2008

Framingham, MA: Rave Wireless, Inc, the leading provider of reliable safety applications for mobile users, announces today it will make marketing toolkits available to university clients to help increase student body participation in campus-wide mobile software and emergency alerting initiatives. Rave's mobile application suite includes the only two-way safety solution complete with inbound and outbound emergency alerting, as well as applications that promote mobile learning and mobilize student services. Rave's marketing toolkit and support will be available to clients as part of their license agreements at no additional charge and are designed to help university partners address the industry-wide challenge of student enrollment.

“Rave Wireless is the only vendor that has ever approached me and offered practical, useable marketing tools to promote a new technology on campus,” said Judy Jacobi, director of marketing at Purdue University North Central. “So many technology vendors seem to think you can just flip the switch on a new technology offering and students will come, while those of us who work on campus know this is not the case. Rave's marketing templates demonstrate their deep understanding of how to reach and engage today's students to make our campus a safer place."

The most powerful piece of the new offering is the toolkit. It offers university officials exhaustive marketing collateral and other assets that can be adapted to promote their Rave mobile safety and learning programs to current and incoming students and families. Each of Rave's product offerings -- Rave Alert, Rave Guardian and Rave Campus -- have their own marketing toolkit with promotional materials and messages designed to drive registration and usage for that particular solution. Depending on the product, the marketing toolkits may include email templates, videos, digital web banners, packets for on-campus events, training materials, campus newspaper ads, t-shirt designs, YouTube campaigns, Facebook initiatives and more. The resources are designed and managed by Rave's campus marketing team, which is made up of brand consultants, graphic designers, copywriters and video editors, all boasting extensive youth marketing experience.

“Rave is committed to fulfilling each school's investment in its product, and we understand that our products are only as effective as the number of students using them. By sharing our comprehensive marketing tools with universities, we can maximize the push for student participation, as well as increase each student's depth of knowledge of the application suite and its functionality,” says Ted Sullivan, director of student marketing, Rave Wireless.

In addition to the toolkit, the new offering further supports Rave's clients by providing:

> Access to Rave's campus marketing team and playbook for help with strategic consulting on brand management and campaign execution

> A budgeting, planning and resource allocation tool designed to help schools manage campus marketing initiatives
