Infrastructure Engineer
The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and monitoring the Rave Wireless production, as well as testing software, hardware, and networking environments. S/he will report to the Director of Technical Operations as part of a dynamic, highly-skilled operations team. The position will be based out of the Framingham, MA office, with occasional trips to the New York City office.
Responsibilities will include:
- Network configuration and hardware set-up through software deployment, job scheduling, and advanced scripting using a range of scripting languages and technologies
- Maintaining 5 9's availability in a 24x7, geographically redundant production environment, including maintaining production of the Rave Wireless website
Skills and experience required:
- Linux system administration, including specific familiarity with CentOS5
- Proficiency with Nagios and Ganglia monitoring solutions
- Proficiency with LDAP administration
- Firewall configuration experience
- Knowledge of network security best practices
- Proficiency with scripting languages, such as Python, PHP, and Perl
- Familiarity with Quartz
- Java programming experience a plus
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Excellent communication skills and a “can do” attitude
